Mikel Arteta has yet to decide whether England international Bukayo Saka will play against Manchester United.
The 20-year-old picked up a slight knock against Newcastle at the weekend and has been assessed by the Arsenal medical team before their Premier League showdown at Old Trafford.
Arteta will definitely be without long-term absentees Sead Kolasinac and Granit Xhaka for that one.
However, after providing an injury update during his pre-match press conference, the Spaniard admitted he's 'hopeful' Saka will play some part against United on Thursday night (8.15pm kick off).
The England forward has scored two goals and provided as many assists in 13 top-flight outings this season.
Here is the current state of play on the Arsenal treatment table:
Sead Kolasinac
Injury: Ankle
Return date: TBC
What Arteta has said: "Kolasinac is still not ready. We have a doubt with Bukayo and a few other knocks we had from Newcastle."
Bukayo Saka
Injury: Knock
Return date: December 2 vs Man United
What Arteta has said: "He wasn't comfortable and he felt something. I'm hopeful, but we don't know. It's a really short turnaround. The player has to be comfortable playing with a little injury. It was an action where he said he felt something."
Granit Xhaka
Injury: Knee
Return date: TBC
What Arteta has said: "Hopefully he will be a little bit sooner than expected. He's training, pushing himself and all the staff so hard, like he always does, and he's in a good place. He's evolving well and, hopefully, we can have him a little bit earlier."
