Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney trolls Rangers with brilliant social media reply

Arsenal’s former Celtic left-back Kieran Terney came up through the youth system at Celtic Park.

The 22-year-old joined Arsenal last summer in a £25m deal that was a record for a player moving from the Scottish Premiership.

He played 170 times in all competitions for the Hoops before making the move to the Emirates Stadium, Tierney was part of a Celtic squad to win the title five times, the Scottish Cup three times and the Scottish League cup three times.

He took the chance to show his affinity with the Scottish giants by replying to their arch-rivals Rangers.

The official Twitter account of the Gers asked for the “best pics of you and your family and friends at Ibrox.”

In the reply, Tierney included a picture of him and his Celtic teammates celebrating in front of a packed away end after a win the Old Firm derby, along with the caption reading “Stay safe.”

Tierney’s move to Arsenal has been scuppered by injury so far this season with the full-back making just five Premier League appearances so far this campaign.

Earlier in the month, the defender revealed his best moment at Arsenal so far.

"Probably the reception I got from you guys on my debut," he said.

"Making an appearance after injury is always brilliant but the Arsenal fans took me so well with a round of applause at the start as well as when I was substituted so the night of making my debut against Forest was just a great night."
