Arsenal fixtures 2019/20: The Gunners remaining Premier League matches after Man City restart

The Premier League is set to make its eagerly-anticipated return next month – and there’ll be plenty for Arsenal to play for when they get back into action.

The league have confirmed their plans for a restart on June 17, with the Gunners set to be in action in one of the very first matches back.

Mikel Arteta’s side are due to take on Manchester City in their game in hand, before a full schedule of fixtures takes place on the weekend of June 19-21.

The games will come thick and fast, with 92 matches to be played across the Premier League.

Arsenal could find themselves one of the busiest teams in action, with FA Cup commitments meaning they could potentially end up playing 13 fixtures in total.

No dates have yet been officially confirmed, although the Gunners face a number of pivotal fixtures as they hunt down a place in Europe for next season.

They of course start with that daunting trip to Man City for a game that will have a huge say in when the title will be decided – should Arsenal come away with a victory, Liverpool would need just one more win to secure their crown.

The Gunners find themselves back out on the road in their next couple of fixtures as they take on Brighton and Southampton, before hosting bottom side Norwich City.

They then face a tricky run of games, starting off with a trip to Wolves before hosting Leicester City, who look set to claim a spot in the top four.

Then it’s the big one as Arteta’s side head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the North London derby, with Liverpool – who by then should be champions – visiting the Emirates Stadium after that.

Arsenal could then have a big say in the relegation battle, with their final two league games seeing them travel to Aston Villa before ending the season at home to Watford.

There’s also an FA Cup quarter-final at Sheffield United to fit in, and with the cup providing another route into Europe, it could prove quite important for Arteta and his side.

The quarter-finals are set to take place over June 27 and 28, with Leicester v Chelsea, Newcastle v Man City and Norwich v Manchester United the other games.
