Arsenal's squad numbers for the 2020/21 season have been confirmed.
And after a very busy summer transfer window with incomings as well as outgoings, plenty has changed when it comes to the first-team squad numbers since the 2019/20 campaign ended.
Manager Mikel Arteta was able to bolster his squad in several key areas by bringing in Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes, Dani Ceballos, Alex Runarsson, and Thomas Partey.
And four of the seven major summer signings have been allocated their Arsenal squad numbers.
With no.10 already taken by Mesut Ozil, attacking midfielder Willian has settled for the no.12 following his free transfer from London rivals Chelsea.
Gabriel has been given the no.6 - last worn by former captain Laurent Koscielny - and arguably made famous by the legendary figure of Tony Adams who led the club to several major honours during his playing career.
Alex Runarsson has taken the no.13 after joining from Dijon, while £45m deadline day signing Thomas Partey will wear no.18 after signing from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
There has been no change for Dani Ceballos after returning for another loan spell as he continues with no.8 and the same goes for Cedric Soares (17) and Pablo Mari (22) after earning permanent deals.
The one major squad number upgrade is for wonderkid Bukayo Saka as he's swapped no.77 for no.7 as he follows in the footsteps of clubs greats such as David Rocastle, Robert Pires, and Alexis Sanchez.
Another significant change has seen Mohamed Elneny take the no.25 after returning from a loan spell at Besiktas and his no.4 has been given to William Saliba.
No.26 is one of few shirt numbers that are now free for potential signings when the transfer window reopens in January.
Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi have temporarily vacated no.11 and no.29 respectively after sealing loan deals to Atletico Madrid and Hertha Berlin respectively.
Although, they should get those back if they are to return next summer.
