Arsenal favourite set for exit as Sky Sports make major TV decision ahead of 2020/21 season

Sky Sports have reportedly made the decision to shake-up their coverage of Soccer Saturday for the 2020/21 season.

Matt Le Tissier has confirmed that he will no longer be taking part in the show, with Mirror Football also reporting that Liverpool legend Phil Thompson and former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas will be departing.

Sky Sports have been reducing the number of staff on their books recently and it has been reported that the trio were all told about the news on Tuesday.

Arsenal Premier League fixtures 20/21 season

Alongside Paul Merson and presenter Jeff Stelling, Le Tissier, Thompson and Nicholas have been fixtures of the well-liked Soccer Saturday show, with the latter three having almost 50 years of TV experience between them.

Nicholas has been involved with Sky for 20 year alongside the likes of Thompson and Le Tissier.

The Scotsman was famed for his banter back and forth with presenter Stelling.

It now remains to be seen if the 58-year-old continues to work with the company.

He has previously been a pundit on Scottish football and has written weekly prediction columns for the broadcaster's website.

Whilst Le Tissier has confirmed his departure, Nicholas's potential exit is yet to be verified fully.

Sky Sports have been contacted for comment.
