Arsenal fans won't be surprised by the key piece of advise that David Luiz gave to Reiss Nelson

Reiss Nelson has hailed the impact that Arsenal's senior players have had on his transition into the senior side.

The 19-year-old spent last season on loan with German side Hoffenheim and came back to north London ready to challenge for a place this summer.

Nelson has played in two Premier League matches for the Gunners so far this term, including a start in the season-opener against Newcastle.

As well as hailing some of Arsenal's key players, he picked out one star in particular who has been helping the youngster to play without fear.

Speaking to the club website said: "It's a great feeling to have a lot of big characters in the team who are willing to help the younger players come through and help them do well.

"You see the likes of Laca (Alexandre Lacazette), Auba (Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang) and Granit (Xhaka) who are all big players in the team.

"David Luiz is a new addition and he's always talking to me, always talking about the mental side of football.

"You can have a bad pass or a bad shot, but you need to do this to take the risk. You need to shoot to score the goal. If it goes wide, you just need to keep going and keep your head up. I think that helps you a lot."
