Unai Emery's departure from Arsenal could not have gone much better with the Spaniard now setting a record at new club Villarreal.
Arsenal parted ways with Emery in November 2019, eventually replacing him with Mikel Arteta with the club sat in ninth place, two points behind Tottenham in fifth with a game in-hand.
But things haven't exactly worked out since for the Gunners who, despite winning an FA Cup, aren't enjoying too much success under Arteta, albeit it's still early in the young Spaniard's reign.
Meanwhile, former boss Emery is having the time of his life in his new role as Villarreal head coach, setting records at Estadio de la Ceramica.
Villarreal are enjoying a fine campaign, sitting in fourth place, goal difference behind Real Sociedad in third with a game in hand.
But it's not just the league table that is raising eyebrows. The Yellow Submarine fought back to draw 1-1 with Athletic Club last time out and perhaps should have won, managing no fewer than 17 shots on target.
Nevertheless, the draw was enough to see the Castellon club set a new record, making it 19 games unbeaten for the first time in the club's history across elite competition.
The run stretches back to their defeat to Barcelona at Camp Nou in late September, surpassing the 18-match unbeaten record they amassed in the 2014/15 season.
Villarreal have only lost once all season across all competitions - also topping their Europa League group - and only La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid have managed to lose so few across league competition to date.
From the 19 games unbeaten, the Yellows have won 11 and drawn eight, a record Emery will be pretty pleased with as he looks to bounce back from an 18-month spell at Arsenal that certainly split opinion.
