Arsenal fans will not believe what happened to Gabriel Martinelli on FIFA 20 after Chelsea goal

Arsenal's 2019/20 season has been far from straightforward, with the Gunners currently sitting in 10th place in the Premier League after 24 games, having already replaced manager Unai Emery with former player Mikel Arteta in December.

But, one massive positive has been the performances of the club's young players, with the likes of Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka, Matteo Guendouzi and Gabriel Martinelli showcasing their impressive talent on a regular basis.

Brazilian youngster Martinelli has been particularly impressive, already finding the net 10 times for the Gunners so far this season, including a sensational solo strike against London rivals Chelsea on Tuesday evening, running the length of the pitch at Stamford Bridge and finishing calmly past Kepa Arrizabalaga to level the score at 1-1.

However, it looks like not everyone has been impressed with Martinelli's performances, as the youngster has actually been downgraded in the latest FIFA 20 database update, despite his strong form.

The 18-year-old is a really exciting prospect in both real-life and in-game, with an impressive potential ability rating of 87 out of 100, meaning that he could become as good as players like Edinson Cavani, Bernardo Silva, Marco Reus and Roberto Firmino.

But in the latest update, his potential ability has been downgraded from 87 to 86.

This means that instead of Firmino, Silva and Cavani, Martinelli can now only be as good as players like Lorenzo Insigne, Mauro Icardi and Ciro Immobile.

Ok, he's still a great prospect, but for some reason, EA SPORTS don't believe that Martinelli can reach that level of ability anymore, based on his real-life performances.

In terms of the rest of his Gunners teammates, Bernd Leno, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Alexandre Lacazette and Emiliano Martinez have been upgraded, whilst David Luiz, Nicolas Pepe, Rob Holding, Reiss Nelson and Shkodran Mustafi have been downgraded.
