Arsenal fans will love what Tomas Rosicky did for Sparta Prague's win at Celtic

Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky took inspiration from ex-boss Arsene Wenger during Sparta Prague's 4-1 demolition of Celtic on Thursday evening.

The Czech outfit hit top form to breeze past the Scottish champions on their own patch and give themselves renewed hope of making the UEFA Europa League 's first knockout stage.

Rosicky, who made 246 appearances for Arsenal during a ten-year spell at the club, is now Sparta's sporting director.

He was spotted donning a long puffer jacket during the match at Celtic Park, not too dissimilar to the style Wenger would sport on the touchline while in charge of the Gunners.

The former attacking midfielder, now 40, posted a message on Instagram explaining his choice of attire.

He wrote: "“ Arsene Wenger inspired me in many ways. Will be rocking his trademark coat.

"3 points against Celtic yesterday the coat will travel with me everywhere from now on."

Rosicky lifted the FA Cup on two occasions during his time at Arsenal, in 2014 and 2015.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus revealed seven years ago that the Czech is his favourite player of all time, having been a key member of the club's title-winning side in 2002.

"“My idol was always Tomas Rosicky. He had such a good eye for an opening and knew where his team-mates were, and he was so quick," he is quoted as saying by Arsenal's official website.

The Gunners return to Premier League action on Sunday as they welcome Dean Smith's Aston Villa to the Emirates Stadium.

They continued their strong Europa League form with victory over Molde on Thursday night, extending their lead at the top of Group B.
