Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been hailed as 'an absolute legend' by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former Manchester United manager made the claim on Monday night as Wenger was named a 'Legend of Football' at the annual Nordoff Robbins charity award dinner.
The night saw the Frenchman celebrate his glittering managerial career, with him claiming three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and seven FA Community Shields in his 21-year tenure at the Gunners.
And for many of those 21-years Wenger enjoyed a fierce rival with Ferguson, with the two often going toe-to-toe for honours in England's top-flight.
Although the pair often appeared to take digs at one an other, Ferguson, who himself has been a past recipient of the 'Legends of Football' award, opened up on how he enjoyed the competition provided by the 69-year-old.
He said: "The career you had as a manager at Arsenal was absolutely fantastic - an absolute legend.

"I loved the competition against you.
"We had some great times and it's wonderful you're getting this award tonight.
"So good luck, my blessing with you."
Wenger is the latest in a long list of footballing names to be honoured at the annual Nordoff Robbins charity award dinner, with Kenny Dalglish, Alan Shearer, Eric Cantona, Jose Mourinho, Ryan Giggs, Pele, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, all having been named a 'Legend of Football'.
