Arsenal fans will love what Gabriel Jesus has said about Mikel Arteta and his Man City future

Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has said that he doesn't know what the future holds for Arsenal linked Mikel Arteta.

The former Gunner has been linked with a return to the Emirates Stadium as a manager, as chiefs search for a replacement for Unai Emery following the Spaniard's dismissal just over two weeks ago.

Freddie Ljungberg has been the man to step up on an interim basis, but Arsenal continue to search for the person to take the job for the long-term.

Mikel Arteta is among the favourites to take the role he was heavily linked with before the appointment of Emery in the summer of 2018.

Arsenal v Manchester City: Match Preview

The former midfielder has been an assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City since July 2016, and has seen his stock as a coach rise.

Jesus has now joined in the praise for his coach and has hinted that a move to Arsenal could be on the cards.

"He's helped a lot of players. When I want to do finishing after training, I tell him and he comes and helps me," the Brazilian said, as reported by Manchester Evening News .

"So he is really fantastic for us. All the players know that — everyone knows that in the club. He is a fantastic guy and fantastic manager.

"I don't honestly know what he thinks about his career, that is for him. I hope he can find his way and I hope he can be happy."
