Freddie Ljungberg takes charge of his first home game as Arsenal head coach against Brighton and Hove Albion on Thursday night.
And the Gunners legend couldn't be more excited.
The north London outfit welcome the Seagulls to the Emirates Stadium in the final game of midweek action in the Premier League as they seek to end a poor run of eight games without a win across all competitions.
Seven of those games came under Unai Emery and he paid the ultimate price by being sacked on Friday morning - less than 24 hours after the 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
Ljungberg was in the dugout for that game as the Spaniards' assistant head coach.
But he's been promoted following Emery's departure and will be tasked with leading the Gunners to victory on Thursday.
Speaking ahead of the game, Ljungberg will have delighted Arsenal with comments regarding his Emirates Stadium bow as interim head coach.
"It's been quite hectic so I haven't thought about it much but of course it's going to be a proud moment," Ljungberg said during his pre-Brighton press conference at London Colney.
"When I made my national team debut, my debut here (as a player) and my debut as a manager at Norwich are probably the proudest moments I've ever had."

Ljungberg also touched on how his side can get supporters behind them against the Seagulls.
"The only way to change that is how you play," he added. "The fans were amazing at Norwich, we were on top and they got energy from that.
"At the Emirates, fans want us to play good football and that’s the only way to get them going."
In the corresponding meeting between Arsenal and Brighton last season it was a 1-1 draw in a game which effectively killed the Gunners' hope of sealing a top four finish.
