Arsenal fans will love what former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has said about Matteo Guendouzi

He's quickly established himself as one of Arsenal's key players, and Matteo Guendouzi could have another 10 years at the top for the Gunners.

That's the view of former Tottenham striker Darren Bent who has backed to midfielder to maintain his excellent form.

The 20-year-old was the standout player for Unai Emery's side in the north London derby against Tottenham, and speaking to Football Insider , Bent said the performance of Guendouzi was mature beyond his tender years.

He said: "He’s playing like he’s someone who’s played for Arsenal for years.

"It’s scary that he’s only 20, he could be in the Arsenal midfield for the next 10 years, he’s really good in that role.

“Even when he gives the ball away, he wants the ball all the time.

He never shies away from that and that is a trait in a midfielder that you can’t teach, you can’t teach that.”

One of Guendouzi's biggest moments was the pass that found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Arsenal's equaliser in the North London Derby.

That assist has attracted great plaudits for the midfielder, including Match of the Day presenter Lineker who has been waxing lyrical about him on social media.

Writing on his Twitter account, the former Leicester City striker wrote: "Unsurprising. Enormously talented young footballer."
