Arsenal pair Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson both netted for England Under-21s against Kosovo on Friday evening.
Nketiah was named captain by Three Lions boss Aidy Boothroyd for the Group C Euro qualifier at Pristina, and responded in the perfect fashion by scoring a 10-minute hat-trick in the second half.
The Arsenal forward netted the opener by heading in Todd Cantwell's cross from the right hand side, before doubling England's lead soon after.
Chelsea's Conor Gallagher's cute pass was well controlled by Nketiah in the box, who swivelled and fired past the goalkeeper from close range.
The Gunners striker then completed a perfect hat-trick by scoring his third from the penalty spot.
Nelson also got in on the act by slamming the ball high into the net after good work from Norwich full-back Max Aarons.
Speaking before the game, Nketiah had paid tribute to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta for the support he has received throughout the last season.
Arteta handed Nketiah regular minutes towards the end of the campaign, often in the place of Alexandre Lacazette.
“The boss (Arteta) has shown a lot of good faith in me and the opportunity to make mistakes and then to go out there and correct them," Nketiah said.
“He’s helped my all-round game. As a player it’s great to see the manager going into such detail, it shows how much he cares.
“He’s very demanding. That’s the best for a young player. I’m having the chance to learn on the job.”
