Arsenal defender David Luiz has said that teammate Gabriel Martinelli has a big future in the game if he continues doing what he is doing.
The two players both arrived in the summer, and forward Martinelli has made a positive impact in his nine appearances so far this season, although he is yet to find the net in the Premier League, the Brazilian attacker has scored three times in three Europa League starts and four times in his two starts in the Carabao Cup.
Martinelli was bought to the club from Ituano as a player for the future, but is already making himself known in the first team fold, and he has impressed his teammates with both his ability and attitude that he shows in training.
"I began admiring him for his work, mentality, his football, and his desire to learn every day," Luiz said in an Arsenal Facebook Q&A .
"I’ve had the chance to meet many players, many young talents from several different countries, and Gabi has something different.
"If he keeps it up, he will experience great things in football. I think that is what has surprised me so far.
"I met his parents, it’s not a coincidence that he has been successful. His upbringing had education, purpose, and it’s a great pleasure to be here with Gabriel.
"He welcomed me here, he was here before me. We try to have the best possible relationship, we help each other out."
