Appearing as a pundit on BT Sport’s Score programme on the final day of the season, the former Arsenal captain was asked whether Liverpool would beat Spurs in Madrid on June 1.
In reply, the Gunners’ legend offered a simple three-word response, as he said: “I hope so.”
Spurs have already beaten their north London rivals to fourth place in the Premier League this season, with the Gunners missing out on qualification to the Champions League via the league route after finishing in fifth place, just one point behind Tottenham.

Unai Emery’s side are, however, in the final of the Europa League, and a win against Chelsea in Baku on May 29 would give the Gunners a place in the Champions League next season.
