Arsenal fans will love Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's social media post about Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey was named man of the match on his full debut for Arsenal in the 2-1 Europa League win at Rapid Vienna.

After the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said there is more to come from the "fantastic" midfielder, who signed on deadline day for £45 from Atletico Madrid.

The Gunners boss said: "I think he held the midfield by himself in the second half when we were a little bit more open.

"He started to take more chances attacking certain spaces with some players.

"I think he was fantastic and there is much more to come from him."

The 27-year-old was a calming presence in midfield as he stopped attacks with apparent ease. He is already being compared to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

And it appears he is making a big impression off the pitch as well.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang filmed Partey singing at his 'initiation' on Saturday evening, ahead of the Gunners' home game against Leicester City.

The Ghanaian's performance was greeted with loud applause from his fellow players, but Aubameyang added the last touches to the Instagram story.

The striker and Arsenal captain, who signed a three-year deal in September, was heard saying: "After Partey, Partey, Partey, after Partey," before breaking off into laughter.

Partey could make his full Premier League debut against the Foxes at the Emirates Stadium tonight.

His side will look to inflict a second defeat in just over a month against Brendan Rodgers' side, following a 2-0 win in the Carabao Cup on September 23 at the King Power Stadium.

In the Premier League, however, Leicester sit one place above Arsenal in seventh, with the two sides separated only by goal difference.

Both teams will look to return to winning ways having lost to Aston Villa and Manchester City respectively last weekend.

They did, however, receive morale-boosting Europa League wins midweek, with the Foxes triumphing 3-0 over Zorya Luhansk and Arsenal edging the aforementioned Austrian side.

The Gunners have a few injury concerns heading into the match as well.

Willian suffered a slight injury to his right calf against Manchester City and also missed Thursday’s match but he was pictured training on Saturday afternoon.

Dani Ceballos missed the away win over Rapid Vienna on Thursday after suffering a knock to his left ankle and will be checked ahead of the Leicester game.

He trained on Saturday, however, so he could be in line for some game time.

Nicolas Pepe was a notable absentee from the extensive range of photographs taken during the club's training session at London Colney on Saturday afternoon.

It is not yet known if there is anything to read into this, but Pepe has started Arsenal's past two games since the international break.

The game is likely to come too soon for Pablo Mari, Callum Chambers, and Rob Holding following respective injuries.
