Arsenal fans will love Mikel Arteta's attention to detail after becoming new head coach

After weeks of speculation Mikel Arteta was finally unveiled as the new head coach at Arsenal on Friday.

Three weeks after Unai Emery was sacked, and around 18 months after Arteta was looked over in favour of Emery for the top job at the Emirates, the former skipper was named head coach.

And he has a big job on his hands.

Arteta was in the stands as the Gunners drew 0-0 with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime and will take his second training session as boss on Monday morning.

Arsenal looked more solid at the back against the Toffees and they managed to keep their first clean sheet since the beginning of October with Arteta watching on.

The defence will be one problem position the Gunners supporters will be keen for the new boss to fix above all others in the short-term as they look for their side to move into the top half of the table and make a late challenge for the top four.

Arteta knows he has work to do, as evidenced by his meeting with the video analysis department upon his arrival at London Colney on Friday.

Arsenal released a video on their Instagram page of Arteta meeting the staff, and the supporters will love the attention to detail he is already showing in his first few days in the job.

Shaking hands with everyone, Arteta explains the job that the video analysts will have to do for him.

He said: "You're going to have a lot of work to do, you know that yeah? A lot of work to do."

And then, when focusing on a screen from which a match was being detailed, Arteta said: "Where are the cameras located? Behind?

"Do we have any drones? Yeah?"

Arteta is clearly fond of the video analysis and will be watching reams of content as he looks to impart his way of thinking onto the players.
