Arsenal fans will love Marcus Rashford's message to Ian Wright after beating Spurs

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has welcomed Ian Wright back on to Twitter with a message after scoring two goals to beat Tottenham Hotspur.

The Woolwich-born retired striker is not only an Arsenal fan favourite but a fan of the Gunners himself, and has long enjoyed poking fun at Spurs as part of the rivalry between the two clubs.

After agreeing to take part in the ITV reality series I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Wright has been without access to the latest football news since November 17.

During that time Unai Emery has left Arsenal to be replaced by Freddie Ljungberg as interim head coach while Tottenham have sacked Mauricio Pochettino to appoint Jose Mourinho.

The ex-Chelsea and United manager won his first three matches in charge of Spurs only to suffer his first loss back at Old Trafford.

It was his first visit to the ground as an opposition manager since he was dismissed last season, and Rashford couldn't help but message Wright to deliver the news himself that Tottenham had lost.

A prolific finisher as a player, Ian Wright worked his way up the English football pyramid after breaking through with Non-League side Greenwich Borough.

From there he moved on to Crystal Palace and scored 118 goals in 277 games to attact the attention of Arsenal, who signed him up in September 1991.

With the Gunners he won the Premier League in 1998 in addition to lifting the FA Cup twice as well as the League Cup and the Cup Winners' Cup.

After spells with West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Celtic and Burnley, he hung up his boots to embark on a new career as a TV and newspaper pundit.

He also has two sons who have enjoyed successful football careers of their own.

Shaun Wright-Phillips made his name at Manchester City before a big money move to Chelsea while Bradley Wright-Phillips has gone on to become one of the most successful players in the history of Major League Soccer.
