Arsenal fans will love Kieran Tierney's Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe prediction

Kieran Tierney says Arsenal's young stars have the potential to become world-class talents in the future.

The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have impressed for the Gunners in recent weeks, helping to turn the form of Mikel Arteta's side around.

Tierney is not surprised by the impact they have had on the first team.

Speaking to BT Sport, the full-back said he was immediately impressed with how technically skilled the Gunners' young players are when he arrived at the club from Celtic in 2019.

He said: "These guys will be world-class for years to come and it’s great to be playing alongside them.

"One of the first things I’ve noticed when I came here was how good the youngsters were, how technical they are, and how tactically aware. They’re all getting better under Arteta as well."

Arsenal were able to turn their form around with a win over Chelsea in December.

Prior to that game, Tierney had been critical of his teammates' performances, and he says he was right to speak out.

He said: "I still stick by that. When we were going through it, it was the players who weren’t performing as well as we should’ve been, as well as an Arsenal standard team should be.

"When you do get better nights, like the Chelsea night and the other night, it makes it all worth it because you’ve been through the tough times.

"People have been out to get you, you’ve been slated by everyone, really, so to come out as a team and bounce back from that was what we were looking for."
