Arsenal fans will love Jamie Carragher's brutal one-word assessment of Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has become a laughing stock this season in particular and fans will love Jamie Carragher's latest verdict on him.

Mustafi was the top trend on Twitter for much of Easter Sunday and it was not good news as the German struggled against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal were beaten 3-2 at the Emirates as their Premier League top-four hopes took a huge blow.

Mustafi was at fault for two of the goals but his biggest mistake came when he was outfoxed for Wilfried Zaha's strike.

Unai Emery defended Mustafi post-match, something which led to a strong negative response from fans of the Gunners.

Fast-forward to Monday Night Football and Carragher's assessment of Mustafi when reviewing the Arsenal game was brutal but arguably on the money.

"I wasn't surprised by this (the mistake). Mustafi has been a mess since he joined the club and he made another error for the Zaha goal," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"The result was a massive surprise considering Arsenal's home form. It was a killer blow. Emery made too many changes but you would have still expected them to do better, though."
