Arsenal fans will love how Ian Wright reacted to Nicolas Pepe's brace against Vitoria

Arsenal icon Ian Wright has shared his appreciation for Nicolas Pepe after he scored twice in the Gunners' win over Vitoria in the Europa League.

Boss Unai Emery made 10 changes from the side that lost to Sheffield United on Monday night, with Pepe dropping to the bench following his performance at Bramall Lane.

And the Gunners got off to the worst possible start when former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Marcus Edwards fired past Emiliano Martinez to hand the Portuguese side the lead.

Gabriel Martinelli then drew his side level with another smart finish, but moments later Bruno Duarte fired the away side back ahead.

But the Gunners recovered from a lacklustre first half performance to maintain their winning run in the Europa League, with Pepe coming off the bench to score two stunning free-kicks to seal all three points for his side in the final 15 minutes at the Emirates.

Pepe has so far found life tough going in north London since his summer move, coming in for fierce criticism from fans and pundits.

And Wright, reacting to one of the forward's goals on Instagram, looked shocked at what he had witnessed, writing @nicolas.pepe19 followed by a shocked face emoj.

The Ivory Coast forward joined the Gunners from Lille for a club record fee of £72m,  signing a five-year contract at Emirates, and scored his first goal from the penalty spot against Aston Villa in the Premier League in September.

Emery's side are back in action against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
