Arsenal fans will love former Gunner's dig at Spurs ahead of the first game at their new stadium

It is a big night for Tottenham Hotspur as Mauricio Pochettino's men host their first Premier League game at the club's new stadium this evening (Wednesday).

Spurs host Crystal Palace in a London derby at the new 62,062-seater stadium complex, which has been built at a cost of around £1billion and has taken more than two years to build.

It is an exciting time for Spurs fans to finally be getting to play at their new stadium, with all of the new features, ground-breaking technology and innovative systems, with chairman Daniel Levy describing it as a "home for generations" ahead of the first Premier League game there this evening.

It has received plenty of praise from Spurs legends and rivals in the Premier League ahead of the game, but one former Arsenal player could not resist a sly dig at the Gunners' north London rivals on social media today.

From £153m to £400m - How much naming rights at the new Tottenham stadium could be worth

Ahead of the game this evening, former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon has taken to Twitter to post about the contents of a time capsule that has been lowered into position at the new stadium's West Atrium.

And the Arsenal fans will love what the the former Gunner posted, having included an image of tumbleweed with his post, as can be seen below.

Spurs confirmed in December that the capsule contains "a number of artefacts and documents" that capture the emotions and passions of the club's time at White Hart Lane, along with Spurs' aspirations for the future of the club and predictions of how things will be in 50 years' time, when the capsule will be opened.
