Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to social media to praise Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli after he opened the scoring in the Premier League game against Sheffield United.
The summer arrival was named in the starting 11 for the match at the Emirates Stadium after returning to Premier League action against Crystal Palace after injury caused him to miss three league games.
Aubameyang is serving the first of his three match ban after seeing red for a poor challenge against the Eagles last week, leaving Arsenal fans anxious as to how they would replace the club captain's goals.
However, Martinelli moved to ease them worries by putting the Gunners ahead just before half time of the match against Chris Wilder's Sheffield United in a narrow first half.
It was Brazilian's second goal in the Premier League, and his eighth of the season in all competitions so far this season.
Watching on from the sidelines, Aubameyang has sent a message over the potential of his Arsenal teammate.
"Gabi’s gonna be a superstar," he wrote on his Twitter account .
"Not because of the Goal because of the attitude Energy and mindset."
Martinelli has played 19 times in all competitions since completing a summer move from Brazilian side Ituano in the summer, the 18-year-old has impressed in his early days at the Emirates Stadium.
Aubameyang will make his comeback after his three-match ban for the Premier League match against Burnley at the start of February
