Arsenal fans were chanting vs Frankfurt and it had nothing to do with Unai Emery getting sacked

Arsenal vs Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League was played in front of one of the worst attendances at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

No Eintracht Frankfurt fans were allowed into the stadium as a result of a UEFA ban, while many Arsenal supporters stayed away too in protest at the Unai Emery reign.

There were thousands of empty seats inside the Emirates Stadium, making for a very quiet atmosphere for the Europa League group match.

The supporters that were inside the ground struggled to make any kind of atmosphere to spur the players on, although they did take the lead just before the half-time whistle sounded thanks to a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang strike from a Gabriel Martinelli cutback.

Frankfurt offered little in terms of goalmouth action, with no opposition fans in their corner to cheer them on.

Emery will remain under pressure at the Emirates, no matter the score at full-time, but it was not chants about the Spaniard future that caught the eye, or rather the ear, during proceedings on Thursday night.

There was an occasion during the draw with Southampton at the weekend where the Arsenal fans were chanting at their own head coach that he was getting "sacked in the morning".

But the Arsenal supporters inside the Emirates showed their humourous side on Thursday when they chanted after the Aubameyang striker: "You're not singing anymore," to the no Frankfurt fans in the stadium.
