Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be Arsenal's most important signing of the summer.
There has been constant speculation around the Gabon striker's future, with his contract due to expire next summer.
If he does not renew his deal, he will be able to leave the club on a free transfer this time next year.
The Gunners have already made one summer signing, bringing in Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea, with speculation over a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey continuing.
But, above all else, tying down Aubameyang to a long-term contract would be their best business of the transfer window.
Aubameyang has scored 22 Premier League goals in each of the last two seasons at the Emirates, with 10 in his first half season at the club having joined in January 2018.
He is the club captain, having taken over from Granit Xhaka last year and a firm fans' favourite.
Head coach Mikel Arteta is confident the frontman will sign a new deal at the Emirates but there has been no breakthrough in negotiations as yet.
However, there is a growing feeling that he will indeed sign a new contract to stay, and the Arsenal supporters think they've spotted a hint that it will be sooner rather than later that he commits his future to the club.
Aubameyang's brother Willy posted a photo on his Instagram page on Saturday night, that showed a number of members of the Aubameyang family together, probably on holiday ahead of the start of the 2020/21 season.
Aubameyang is in the centre of the shot wearing his Arsenal away shirt from 2019/20. But not only that, almost all of the other 12 people in the photograph are also adorned in Arsenal shirts.
Would the family do that if he were soon to be leaving? We think not.
