Arsenal fans think they’ve spotted Mesut Ozil squad hint ahead of Leicester clash

Arsenal are back in Premier League action tonight as they take on third-placed Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners welcome the Foxes off the back of four wins in a row in all competitions, with one of their most impressive displays of the season coming in their last outing which resulted in a 2-0 win over Champions League-chasing Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, one player who hasn’t been involved in any of them victories since the restart is midfielder Mesut Ozil.

In fact, the German international has been left out of the 20-man squad completely in three of the last four games in both league and cup.

But sharp-eyed Arsenal fans have noticed a potential hint on the midfielder’s role in the squad for the visit of Leicester.

Posting on his Instagram stories, Ozil has uploaded a video of him sitting at the wheel of his stationary car, and in the reflection, in the wheel, you can see that he is wearing Arsenal training gear.

That caught the eye of a fan on Reddit, who asked. “I presume he’s on the bench today at least?”

While the midfielder could well be included in the matchday squad, another explanation could be the launch of Arsenal’s training kit today.

Players would have been pictured in the new kit, which would explain Ozil’s attire.

With or without Ozil, Arsenal know that a win over the Foxes would take them to within six points of the third-placed team and in with a chance of playing Champions League football next season.
