Arsenal fans think Bukayo Saka has teased Arsene Wenger's transfer trick with £50m deal close

Bukayo Saka has joined Phil Foden in heaping praise on Arsenal transfer target Ben White.

football.london understands that the Gunners are set to complete the signing of the Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back, with the two clubs close to agreeing on a deal worth £50m.

And what will give Arsenal fans encouragement about the transfer is that White has caught the eye of Manchester City's Foden during their time together with England at Euro 2020.

When asked who has shocked him most inside the England camp, Foden told ITV Sport: “I haven’t really seen a lot of Ben. But he’s came in and he’s been brilliant in training, so I’d probably say Ben White."

And Saka agreed.

"Earlier I said I was impressed the most by Ben White," Saka added. "I haven't seen him a lot this season but coming here and training with him, I've been impressed with him."

Whilst that response did not confirm White's move, Arsenal fans think that Saka did something former manager Arsene Wenger used to do right before concluding a deal - smile after talking about a player being linked with the club.

Described as Wenger's 'transfer grin' by some Gunners fans, the Frenchman did this before concluding deals for the likes of Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, and Alexis Sanchez.

This was after, in Cazorla's case, denying knowing who the midfielder was and playing down moves for the latter duo.

Has Saka picked up on that trick?

If so, and Gunners fans are right then it could be fantastic news for Arsenal.
