Arsenal fans spotted what Lukasz Fabianksi did after Alexandre Lacazette's goal vs West Ham

Arsenal supporters have spotted something rather interesting about Alexandre Lacazette's goal against West Ham United.

And it had nothing to do with how long it took VAR to correctly award the goal after the Frenchman had been flagged for offside before sweeping home Mesut Ozil's cushioned header.

Lacazette certainly brought relief for many supporters inside the Emirates Stadium as his goal not only sealed a hard fought win over the Hammers, but kept the north London outfit firmly in the race for Champions League qualification.

Arsenal 1-0 West Ham: Mikel Arteta reacts

But did ex-Gunners goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski enjoy the goal which turned out to be the winner more than he should have?

As seen in the image below, via reddit , Fabianski appears to be smiling just as Lacazette peels away to celebrate - although his initial joy was short-lived as the flag immediately went up.

Unsurprisingly this prompted a big response from Arsenal supporters with the general them being 'Once a Gunner, always a Gunner'.

Take a look at the best responses below.

Whilst there was little to no chance that Fabianski actually enjoyed Lacazette's goal, one man who certainly did was Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard opted to start with Eddie Nketiah alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe in attack but brought the Frenchman on in the second half and that substitution paid off.

"I have two strikers at the moment that are making life difficult for me but at the same time it's very good," Arteta said in his post-match press conference . "They are both scoring, they are both in a good moment.

"I decided to play Eddie today for the type of defenders they had and the game plan we had but knowing that we needed Laca in the final moments (and) he was ready to do that.

"I saw it straight away the moment I was talking with him, giving him instructions on the touchline, he was alert, focused and I could see in his face he was really determined to come out there and score the goal like he did."
