Cedric Soares enjoyed a good evening at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
The former Southampton man was something of a surprise choice in the starting XI, replacing Hector Bellerin in Mikel Arteta's team for the clash in north London.
But he had a good evening and even laid on an assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score his second and the Gunners' third of the evening, getting to the byline and cutting the ball back for his captain to tap into a gaping net.
In football.london 's player ratings, Arsenal writer Kaya Kaynak said: "Was a surprise choice over Hector Bellerin but did well on his first Premier League start of the season. Solid enough defensively and just about managed to keep the ball in to register an assist for Aubameyang's second."
But it was not Cedric's assist that got the Arsenal fans talking.
It was something he did to Jamal Lewis in the second half of the clash at the Emirates.
Receiving the ball on the right touchline, with his back to the pitch, Cedric proceeded to backheel the ball and nutmegged the Newcastle full-back, finding Bukayo Saka with a brilliantly sumptuous pass.
Saka's cross that followed was just as brilliant, but Alexandre Lacazette saw his resulting header saved.
The backheel was what the Arsenal fans on Reddit were talking about though.
