Arsenal fans spotted remarkable Nicolas Pepe moment against Leicester City

Arsenal returned to winning ways in the Premier League after fighting back from behind to defeat Leicester City 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.

After conceding early for the second week in a row, it initially appeared that it might be another afternoon to forget for Mikel Arteta's side.

However, a header from David Luiz and a penalty from Alexandre Lacazette turned the game on it's head before the half-time whistle.

After the restart, Nicolas Pepe capped off his fine performance by poking home from close range but it was another moment from the Ivorian that caught the eye.

Having spent the first half running rings around Leicester's teenage full-back Luke Thomas, which included winning a number of fouls that ultimately led to the 19-year-old being booked and substituted at half-time, Pepe continued to torture the opposition.

In the second half, supporters on Reddit picked up a moment where Pepe beat both Marc Albrighton and Caglar Soyuncu with skill, then charging inside to launch a fresh attack for the Gunners.

Pepe's performances this season have often attracted criticism but there has been a significant upturn in form recently, with the club-record signing scoring in four of his last seven starts.

Supporters have appreciated his recent performances, with ThotCountrySheriff saying: "Man, Pepe was on a mad run today. Been working really hard lately and it shows."

Dhiaizk added: "Pepe is a player that really relies on confidence. When he’s in good form he’s practically unplayable but when he’s low on confidence he might be one of the easiest players to defend against in our team."

Arsenal now have a week until their next clash against Burnley, which is followed by the Europa League ties against Benfica either side of the north London derby against Tottenham.
