Arsenal fans spot what Martin Odegaard did after Emile Smith Rowe's goal vs West Ham

Arsenal supporters noticed Martin Odegaard's strange reaction to Emile Smith Rowe's goal during Wednesday's 2-0 win against West Ham United.

Odegaard had delivered a productive performance for the Gunners, helping his side dominate the lion's share of possession whilst also registering two key passes for his teammates.

However, the Norway captain was taken off just after the hour mark, with Mikel Arteta 's side winning 1-0 at the time, a decision he may not have been best pleased about considering his impressive display.

The former Real Madrid playmaker was replaced by Hale End academy graduate Smith Rowe, who eventually scored the second goal of the game, firing past Lukasz Fabianski in the dying embers of the game.

After the full-time whistle, Arsenal fans on Reddit noticed that Odegaard appeared to be slightly frustrated after his teammate had scored, with some supporters speculating that it could be down to him being tired whilst others thought it was encouraging to see players competing with one another.

R_SenuulefSEE said: "Lmao. He was playing well, I can understand his annoyance."

Nuggetface said: "He’s clapping at least. Probably just tired haha."

bulletproofbanana123 said: "he had a great game too except for one pass. unfortunate to not have come away with an assist this competition for spots bodes well for the team."

NemoDropEmOff said: "Odegaard was prolly (sic) the best player behind Saka and Laca for me. West Ham gave him the midfield imo and Martin took it. Rice was so deep he was literally no threat up until the last 25 minutes."

danmac0817 said: "There's a darkness in this kid, and I like it."

lemondrop23 said: "I like it. Ever since Odegaard was dropped he's been playing with fire in his belly. Him and Saka were the best players on the pitch before he came off IMO."
