Arsenal fans spot what five players did after unlucky Gabriel Martinelli moment vs Southampton

Arsenal produced an emphatic display over the weekend against Southampton.

Mikel Arteta 's men looked nervy in the opening stages of the Emirates Stadium clash before French centre-forward Alexandre Lacazette broke the deadlock after 21 minutes.

Lacazette converted from a perfectly-weighted Bukayo Saka cutback before Norway captain Martin Odegaard doubled the home side's lead six minutes later, netting his third goal in as many games after Kieran Tierney provided a lofted cross.

The Gunners were dominant for the remainder of the match as centre-half Gabriel Magalhaes headed past Willy Caballero just after the hour mark to wrap up the scoring for the day.

However, Gabriel Martinelli and Saka nearly made it 4-0 to the north Londoners, with both youngsters hitting the post, the ninth and 10th times the Gunners have struck the woodwork this season - more than any other Premier League club.

In fact, one fan on Twitter noticed that Martinelli, along with four other Arsenal players, thought the ball had got in, celebrating before putting their hands on their head when they realised that the Brazilian's shot rebounded off the post.

Here is what a few supporters replied to the aforementioned post.
