Arsenal fans send message to Stan Kroenke after Tottenham overtake them in football rich list

For over two decades, Arsenal have been casting a shadow over Spurs, both on and off the pitch.

While Tottenham struggled to put together winning runs, Arsenal went on an Invincible season. Trophies were steadily picked up as Premier League titles and FA Cups arrived in the red half of North London.

And with the newly-built Emirates Stadium dwarfing White Hart Lane, finances were also a one-way street, with the Gunners regularly outstripping their rivals.

But that is no more, with the result from Deloitte's Money League that Spurs are now the top dogs in London financially.

Mikel Arteta looks ahead to match with Sheffield United after Palace draw

After a consistent spell in the Champions League, Spurs have finally overtaken Arsenal, whose three seasons spent in the Europa League have severely affected finances.

And for the fans, there is only one man to blame: Stan Kroenke.

The Arsenal owner has never been too popular for his perceived acceptance of steady and unspectacular results.

Fans have launched a popular 'We Care, Do You?' movement questioning the owners' intentions as the club slides towards mid-table this season.

The owners responded by replacing Unai Emery with fan favourite and former Gunners captain Mikel Arteta, but it has not been enough to stop the wrath of the supporters.
