Arsenal fans send Edu the same Yves Bissouma transfer message after controversial comments

Some Arsenal supporters remain desperate for the club to sign Yves Bissouma after the Brighton midfielder's latest comments.

The Mali international recently spoke about how he believes he is the best midfielder in the Premier League, and the comments certainly caused plenty of conversation on social media.

When asked who he thinks is the best by his former Seagulls teammate Glenn Murray, in an interview for the BBC, Bissouma said: “I don’t want to be arrogant but that’s my mind. I think for me, it’s me because, in my head, I’m working to be the best.

“I know the Premier League has many good midfielders, but for me, it’s me because that gives me confidence and energy to work hard to show people that ‘I’m here, I’m Bissouma.

“I just want to be focused on football to play every game, every week to be good, to help my team to win and yeah, the rest we will see for the future.”

football.london reported back in January that Arsenal's interest in Bissouma is indeed genuine and the midfielder would choose a move to the Emirates Stadium in favour of anywhere else in the Premier League.

So, he has been on the Gunners ' radar for some time and he remains a popular transfer target for the club's supporters.

Brighton boss Graham Potter, when asked about Bissouma's future at the Amex Stadium last month, admitted where the Mali midfielder ends up is largely out of his control.

"I seem to have been speaking about Yves Bissouma for quite sometime," Potter said in August.

"But he is still here. I can’t control the future. Yves is with us, he is happy and smiling, he wants to play and keep on improving his career.

"He is our player and while he is here we will do our best to help him."
