Arsenal fans have been responding to some positive injury news over midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.
After picking up an injury in the recent win against Leicester City, Smith Rowe missed the draw with Burnley and there are question marks over whether he will return in time to play on Thursday.
The Gunners are back in Europa League action on Thursday, facing Olympiacos in their round of 16 first leg fixture, and ahead of that game Arteta provided an update on Smith Rowe's condition.
He said: "He’s close to returning and he’s going to have a full session today to see if he can be involved in tomorrow’s game.
"After training, we will know exactly where we are with him.”
Smith Rowe, who some seem to think is suffering from shin splints on the back of a hip injury, has been crucial for the Gunners so far this season, playing a big part in Arsenal's recovery following a dire start to the season under Arteta.
The 20-year-old has scored five and assisted six across all competitions so far this term and it's clear he will be a big part of Arteta's plans both this season and in the future.
But on Thursday, the Spanish boss should consider going without Smith Rowe, or at least that is according many of the Gunners fans.
With a date with north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday and a second leg still to play with Olympiacos after Thursday night, many fans believe Arteta might be better served not risking Smith Rowe.
Here's what fans have had to say on Reddit.
CleaningTheRug - "Don’t rush him. Give him another week and make sure he’s fit for the return fixture."
Normott - "Maybe he can skip tomorrow. Sunday its on. So glad it wasn't something long term."
22Goblins - "This is why odegaard is so important. we dont NEED to rush him back, we can ease him back in and hopefully we don't have to make this similar to the Partey situation where we have no choice but to bring him back ASAP."
SunnyCherub - "Quick 10-15 min cameo if we have the game in the bag already. Make sure he's fresh to face Spurs."
Mindeberis - "Shin splints are proof of fatigue and overworked legs. Can we rest him more instead of talking about playing thru [sic] it because that’s the worst thing we could do."
