Arsenal fans say the same thing as Gunners announce four first-team departures

Arsenal supporters have reacted to the club's latest decision to allow four first-team players to leave at the end of the month.

The Gunners took to their website to confirm that Dani Ceballos (loan), Martin Odegaard (loan), Mat Ryan (loan) and David Luiz will be departing from the Emirates Stadium when their contracts officially end on June 30.

As well as the senior stars, Under-18 and U23s players Levi Laing, Joseph Olowu, Luke Plange and Jason Sraha will also leave the club.

Arsenal said on their website: "All developments regarding players extending their contracts; joining/re-joining us; or leaving us will be officially communicated as soon as they are confirmed.

"We thank all the above players for their contributions to the club during the periods of their permanent or loan contracts with us.

"You will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish you all the best of health, happiness and success in your futures."

Following the announcement, the club's fan base have taken to Twitter to communicate the one thing they want.

football.london understands that Mikel Arteta and Edu are aiming to bring in at least five new signings for different positions in the summer transfer window, as Arsenal look to massively improve after a disappointing 2020/21 season.

Arteta is understood to want to bring back Odegaard for another spell after an impressive loan stint at the Emirates, but Real Madrid reportedly see him as "the future" of the club, according to Spanish football expert Alvaro Montero.

If Arsenal cannot lure the Norway international back to the club this summer, then football.london understands they will turn their attention to Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia.

As for Ceballos, the Spanish midfielder has already hinted that a third successive loan spell with the Gunners is unlikely as he wants to "settle down".
