Arsenal fans say the same thing after Kieran Tierney injury blow during Liverpool clash

Kieran Tierney has been forced off through injury during Arsenal's Premier League clash with Liverpool at the Emirates.

The Gunners had been much the poorer side in the first half of the match, with Jurgen Klopp's men dominating and unlucky not to be ahead at the break.

It seemed as though things could not get much worse for Mikel Arteta's side until Tierney went down in the middle of the pitch just minutes before half-time.

The Scottish international has been one of Arsenal's best players this season and has been integral to their attack, creating more chances from open play than any of his teammates this season.

However, he went down after a challenge with James Milner just before the end of the first period and received treatment on what appeared to be a knee problem before having to be replaced by Cedric.

The Gunners will have extra cause for concern as it was a knee problem that kept Tierney out for around a month between January and February this year, while the fact that the 23-year-old was not even able to play on for the remaining two or so minutes of the first half would suggest the injury could be more serious.

With a crucial Europa League tie against Slavia Prague coming up on Thursday Arsenal will be hoping that does not turn out to be the case though.

Here's how fans reacted to the injury on Twitter.

@MDaavid10 - "Our season is over....."

@ChazClark86 - "Hopefully not too serious!! Get well soon KT."

@AmtgBanks - "Our most important player is injured."

@Harryiyour1 - "KT is good but this injury of a thing is getting too much."

@JakeOtubuah - "This can't be happening."

@Hadabewandile_ - "This ain't fair man"

@Bernah254 - "Why are we cursed to be like this."

@Omijorge069 - "I saw it coming...he needs rest."
