Arsenal fans reveal one big transfer regret after watching Bayern Munich's draw with RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig midfielder Christopher Nkunku had Arsenal supporters talking, after his side held Bayern Munich to a goalless draw at the Allianz Arena.

The result keeps Leipzig second in the Bundesliga table, only a point behind Bayern, and means Julian Nagelsmann's side remain well in the hunt for the title.

Nkunku started on the right of a front three for the visitors and impressed against the reigning champions, as Bayern failed to find an opening.

The midfielder joined Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain last summer after a lack of game time at Parc des Princes, but Arsenal were strongly interested in signing the midfielder in January 2019 during Unai Emery's tenure.

A move for the 22-year-old never materialised, with the Gunners signing Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona instead.

But the Spaniard only played six times for Arsenal in a desperately disappointing spell for the club.

And with Nkunku continuing to impress for Leipzig, some supporters took to social media to bemoan the fact that the Gunners never returned with a concrete bid for the Frenchman.

Speaking to German outlet Kicker, Nkunku previously explained his decision to join Leipzig.

"The overall package is right here: The structure, philosophy, sporting goals and opportunity to develop as a young player. After four months, I can say that I made the right decision," he said.

"I did play [at PSG], but only when one of the stars was injured, suspended or given a break. That wasn't enough for me."
