Arsenal fans react to Kevin de Bruyne's two goals and assist for Man City

Arsenal fans have been left astounded by the class of Kevin de Bruyne after the Manchester City star's two goals and assist in the first half.

The Premier League champions , bidding to cut down the gap to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table to 14 points, took the lead at the Emirates after only two minutes.

De Bruyne left the whole of north London shell-shocked as he opened the scoring with an exquisite half-volley that rocketed into the roof of the net.

Just 10 minutes later, the Belgian was at it again, walking through the Arsenal midfield to put the ball on a plate for Raheem Sterling to double their lead.

To cap off the perfect first-half performance, de Bruyne then added his second of the game as he bent the ball into the bottom corner to give City a three-goal cushion at the break.

The 28-year-old ran the match at the Emirates, leading Arsenal fans to applaud his performance online.

Whilst Gunners' fans were equally frustrated with their team's inability to track the Belgian through midfield, they were appreciative of the quality he possesses.

Here's a round-up of what Arsenal fans have been saying on social media.

Ndot22SX says: "Sigh, and there's articles saying Ozil is the perfect modern player. He wouldn't be able to carry De Bruynes boots. That is the perfect modern player!"

Another added: "I don’t think letting De Bruyne do whatever he wants is a good idea #afc "
