Arsenal fans question key Mikel Arteta decision as starting XI named to face Wolves

Arsenal fans have been giving their reaction to Mikel Arteta's team selection to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Gunners return to Premier League action against Nuno Espirito Santo's men at the Emirates Stadium (7.15pm).

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has made two changes to the side that started last weekend's goalless draw at Leeds United.

Bukayo Saka replaces Nicholas Pepe in the front three as the Ivory Coast international serves the first game of his three-match suspension following his red card at Elland Road.

The other change sees David Luiz taking the place of Rob Holding in the back four.

Joe Willock continues in the playmaker role for the home side but there is no place in the starting XI for Reiss Nelson after impressing against Molde in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Alexandre Lacazette also misses out for a second straight Premier League game, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang expected to continue through the middle of the attack.

Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka is passed fit to start after concerns over a dead leg and he joins Willian and Aubameyang in the front three.

Mohammad Elneny returns to the matchday squad after a positive Covid-19 test on international duty - but has to settle for a place on the bench.

Arsenal starting line-up to face Wolves (4-3-3): Leno; Bellerin, Gabriel, Luiz, Tierney; Ceballos, Xhaka, Willock; Willian, Aubameyang, Saka.

Some Gunners fans would rather have seen Nelson given the nod ahead of former Chelsea man Willian.

On Twitter, @Sp3nc3r_IV said: "How's Willian ahead of Nelson?"

@AFC86EK tweeted: "Harsh on Nelson. Don’t know how Willian still starts."

@dan_omoore added: "Big game for Willian today! Needs to show what he is made of!"

Meanwhile, @Theo9799 posted: "How bad does Willian need to get before he's dropped? Got to feel for Reiss Nelson, deserves to start."
