Arsenal have been handed an early injury scare ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash at Watford.
Lucas Torreira started Uruguay's 2-1 friendly win over Costa Rica in the early hours on Saturday, but was withdrawn shortly before half-time.
Reports in the midfielder's home country state that he requested to be taken off because of a knock and now it remains to be seen if he is involved against the United States on Wednesday.
Torreira's absence would be a blow for Unai Emery, with the Uruguayan a key member of the Gunners midfield this season.
The 23-year-old started alongside Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham before the international break.
And Torreira netted a consolation against Liverpool at Anfield the week before, after coming on as a substitute.
If the former Sampdoria midfielder fails to recover in time for the game at Vicarage Road this week, Arsenal could be left sweating with Granit Xhaka limping out of Switzerland's win over Gibraltar.
The 26-year-old started and registered an assist in the 4-0 Euro 2020 qualification victory, but did not see out the full game after being replaced with just under 15 minutes to go.
It was visible that Xhaka was struggling with some kind of foot problem, but the good news was that he did not require assistance when walking off the pitch.
