Lucas Hernandez's arrival at Bayern Munich could pave the way for David Alaba to leave the club.
Alaba has been in the Bayern first team for the best part of a decade and remains a hugely consistent performer.
He still has two years remaining on his current contract but speculation over his future has been rife with Bayern confirming the signing of Hernandez.
The France left-back has completed an €80m (£68m) move to Bayern and will officially join the club at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen if and where Alaba fits into Carlo Ancelotti's plans, although his versatility does mean he is an option in midfield.

Alaba has previously admitted he was an Arsenal fan growing up and refused to rule out a potential move to the Premier League.
“I'm happy in Munich, but of course I can imagine seeing something else [in the future]," he said.
“In Spain it would be the two big clubs, I guess? Real [Madrid] or Barcelona . Also the big clubs [in England].”
