Arsenal fans noticed what William Saliba did ahead of Community Shield trophy lift

Arsenal lifted their second piece of silverware at Wembley Stadium in the space of a month on Saturday when they lifted the Community Shield.

The Gunners beat Premier League Champions Liverpool in the annual match to take the first piece of silverware of the season back to the Emirates Stadium.

But, they had to do it the hard way, coming out as victors by five goals to four in a penalty shootout. Rhian Brewster was the Liverpool player who saw his spot-kick fly over the bar.

The victory came less than a month after Arsenal lifted the FA Cup in the same stadium.

Mikel Arteta confident Aubameyang will sign again with Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s men came out as 2-1 winners over Frank Lampard’s Chelsea in the final domestic game of the 2019/20 season, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the hero after scoring both goals.

It was the Gabon international striker who lifted the trophy on both occasions, although the Community Shield lift was a lot more successful than the FA Cup one, with the Arsenal captain dropping the trophy before hoisting it into the sky.

The Community Shield final gave defender William Saliba his first taste of silverware with Arsenal.

The Frenchman signed last summer but spent the 2019/20 season on loan at former club Saint-Etienne.

He was an unused substitute for the game against Liverpool, but was still part of the squad to go up and collect the trophy.

But it seems that the 19-year-old still has to get used to the British weather.

As spotted by Arsenal fans on Reddit, the teenager can be seen trying to warm himself up while in the lineup ahead of collecting the Community Shield.

If the defender is feeling the cold in August, then he will be hoping to get used to the cold British weather ahead of the winter months.
