Arsenal's winless run is finally over.
Having gone nine games without a victory across all competitions, it took nine second half minutes to put West Ham United to sword on Monday night.
Trailing 1-0 at the break, Gabriel Martinelli got the ball rolling with his first Premier League goal then Nicolas Pepe took centre stage.
He too netted his first league goal following his £72m summer transfer and then turned provider for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to make it 3-1 and seal all three points at the London Stadium.
The result has lifted the north London outfit into the top half of the Premier League table ahead of this weekend’s big game against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.
Many have credited the Gunners’ first Premier League away win since opening weekend of the season to Pepe.
But some fans think otherwise.
It's been pointed out that the centre-back partnership on that August afternoon against Newcastle United was Calum Chambers and Sokratis.
Since the game at St James’ Park the Gunners hadn't won away from home in the league until interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg restored the aforementioned partnership.
Is it just a coincidence or is that the key to the north London outfit getting better results on the road?
Well, some Arsenal fans certainly think it’s the latter.
