William Saliba returned to the Saint-Etienne starting line-up on Thursday evening and Arsenal fans kept an eye on how he got on.
The defender - who joined the Gunners for £27m during the summer transfer window - was immediately loaned back to the Ligue 1 outfit to continue his development.
However, his start to the season has been disrupted because of injury after undergoing surgery in August to fix an abductor problem which kept him out of action for up to six weeks.
To step up his rehabilitation, Saliba returned to London Colney last month for treatment.
In a statement on the club website, Arsenal wrote: 'William Saliba is currently back with us as part of his rehabilitation programme from a recent groin injury.'
He even attended the 2-2 draw against Watford at Vicarage Road.
But the good news is that Saliba is off the treatment table and back on the football pitch as he made his return to action in Saint-Etienne's Ligue 1 clash against Nimes at the weekend as a late substitute.
And the teenager was back in the starting XI as the French side welcomed Wolfsburg to Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in the Europa League on Thursday.
Saliba played the full 90 minutes as the two clubs played out a 1-1 draw.
With that said, one Arsenal fan on Twitter noticed that Saliba had a position change during the game, while others noted that he didn't have much to do throughout.
