Arsenal fans noticed what Folarin Balogun did vs Man Utd after scoring first senior goal

Folarin Balogun has got Arsenal fans talking after his instant impact in Thursday night's Europa League group match against Molde.

The 19-year-old forward netted his first senior goal for the Gunners to round off a 3-0 victory in Norway as Mikel Arteta's men cruised into the last 32 of the competition.

It was only Balogun's second first-team appearance, having made his debut against Dundalk at the end of last month.

And he had only been on the pitch for 37 seconds before scoring against Molde.

The teenager collected Emile Smith Rowe's low centre from the left with his back to goal and span before finding the net from 12 yards.

An eagle-eyed Arsenal supporter spotted a strikingly similar finish from Balogun for the under-23s against Manchester United last month.

Posting a video of that goal on Reddit, u/Truewarriorxd said: "So Balogun seems to have his own special move."

Skmossberg51 hailed Balogun as a potential successor to Alexandre Lacazette.

"Can score while having his back towards goal = the perfect Lacazette replacement," they said, before adding: "Should be on the first team bench now."

Mo3moe9 added: "Matter of time before he starts."

DaGetz posted: "When I saw Balogun pull this off my mind immediately went to: that’s a Lacazette goal.

"Credit to the kid though, really happy he scored and I hope he wants to stay."

Meanwhile, makeskoomagetriches pointed out: "We have tjj (Tyreece John-Jules), nketiah, balogun and martinelli plus auba and laca, who goes?"

After his cameo against Molde, Balogun told Arsenal.com: "I’m feeling really happy, it shows that all the hard work I’ve put in over the years is just starting to pay off.

"It’s important that I keep working hard to enjoy more moments like this.

"I always try to stay ready and I’m happy that on this occasion it paid off.

"It’s been good (to be involved), it’s nice to see the boss showing faith in me.

"It feels like this is good experience for me, I just need to keep on learning, keep on adding to my game and I’m happy that I could contribute."
