Arsenal fans notice what Gabriel Martinelli has done in Dubai warm-weather training camp

Arsenal are in Dubai for their four-day warm-weather training camp.

The inaugural Premier League winter break has provided head coach Mikel Arteta with the chance to get across his message in more training sessions, having not had many free weeks in the calendar following his appointment.

Those in Dubai include January loan signings Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares - with the latter doing a light training session as he is still recovering from a knee injury.

What Arsenal need to do during the winter break

Also making the trip is wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli.

In what has been a difficult season for the Gunners, the 18-year-old has been a shining light with 10 goals to his name across all competitions thus far - a record bettered than by only captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang across the entire squad.

And a big change in Martinelli has been noticed as he reported for training on Friday.

As spotted by Arsenal supporter @rehnato on Twitter, the teenager has certainly bulked up since arriving at the Emirates Stadium in a bid to cope with the physicality of the Premier League.

This has also prompted fellow fans to suggest Martinelli is on his way to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Take a look at what's been said on Twitter...

Ironically, during Martinelli's first interview after becoming an Arsenal player he named Ronaldo as one of the players he looks up to.

"I model my game on Cristiano Ronaldo," Martinelli told the club's official website. "He is a player who works hard, pushing himself to the next level. Always in the run for titles and individual trophies.

"I look up to Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar as they are players who can decide games and are very professional, who dedicate themselves to the whole game."
