Arsenal fans name three emerging talents to step up after Alex Iwobi's £40m transfer to Everton

Alex Iwobi has joined Everton.

The Nigeria international came through the youth system at Arsenal, becoming a full fledged first-team star during the 2015/2016 season, striking up an instant understanding with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

This move to Goodison Park - worth a reported £40m - somewhat came as a surprise as the Toffees launched an opening offer of £30m on Wednesday which was rejected.

However, they returned with an improved bid 24 hours later, managed to seal the deal after the 5pm deadline and Iwobi becomes the Gunners' most expensive sale ever.

His sale does mean the Gunners have retrieved some of the money they spent during the summer transfer window.

Gabriel Martinelli was first to arrive for £6m and when taking into consideration deals for Nicolas Pepe, William Saliba, Dani Ceballos, Kieran Tierney and David Luiz, the north London outfit's spending surpassed £130m.

But the question is who will fill the void left by Iwobi?

Despite splitting opinions amongst Arsenal supporters, the attacking midfielder was a regular in the team under Unai Emery last season as he often operated from the left-wing.

Well, some fans have picked out three emerging talents for the job.
