Arsenal fans make 'cojones' jibe at Troy Deeney following red card

Watford striker Troy Deeney certainly didn't endear himself to Arsenal fans when he blasted their lack of "cojones" last year.

After beating the Gunners at Vicarage Road last year, Deeney claimed the Gunners lacked bottle and stated he could make his presence felt early on.

But his attempts to make an early impact saw him sent off for an elbow on Lucas Torreira less than a quarter of an hour into their latest encounter.

Deeney protested his innocence as he was given his marching orders and was seen confronting Unai Emery to give his side of the story.

Yet by that stage he was already on his way off the field with his side 1-0 down - and Arsenal fans all made the same joke as they revelled in his dismissal.

Hundreds noted that Deeney was "showing his true cojones" and asked "where's your cojones now Deeney?"

Others joked that "Deeney and his cojones" were "off the pitch" with others challenging him to find his cojones as he enjoyed an early shower.

Another Arsenal fan noted it was "karma" as they noted a missed penalty at the Emirates and now a red card against the Gunners since his comments.

By the time Deeney left the field, Arsenal were already 1-0 down after an early howler from Ben Foster gifted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the opening goal.

The home side came back strongly despite going down to 10-men, but it didn't stop Arsenal fans from revelling in Deeney's red card in a highly-charged Premier League encounter.
